Marilena Stavrakidis is a Greek multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on sociopolitical issues.
Stavrakidis has been awarded the Anthony M. Ruotolo Photojournalism award from the Imaging Alliance Foundation in 2016. She has also been exhibited at the E/AB Fair 2018, Memorial Union Gallery in 2016 and 2018, SVA Chelsea Gallery in 2015 and LOOK 3 Festival 2015.
Her approach interweaves text, statistics, images, and occasionally audio in order to inform and challenge the viewer. She currently lives and works in New York and as a mentor at NYC SALT.
